JAYEM is my calling. I want to share my journey in hopes that I can inspire and/or help others with their journeys.
I was a little kid with a vivid imagination, who loved school and was a “tad” (okay maybe “A LOT”) bossy who grew up to be a big kid who is creative, is always learning and who is a leader who loves to inspire others so that they can find fulfillment in their careers.
My 20+ career path has zigged and zagged and it has been filled with excitement, and sometimes fear. But most importantly it has been a completely satisfying ride. I have worked in corporate, education and have become an entrepreneur. But the one constant in my career is that I have ALWAYS followed my passion and found a way to love what I do…most days!
I loved my career so much I was determined to not let cancer take that away from me. And it did not. But it definitely changed how I viewed my life and career, so I happily pivoted and subsequently thrived.
But at the end of 2019, my cancer returned. This time more aggressively than the last time and I was shook. Everything I knew had to change, including my career, so this time I reluctantly pivoted. But guess what? I am still thriving.
Cancer was a significant life event that brought me to my calling…JAYEM.

It was a true pleasure to participate in Jennifer’s “Your Career After” workshop. Her experience and enthusiasm for what she does really shines through. Jennifer has incredible knowledge and understanding of the many ways to present your skills and how to use social media sites and platforms to get your message and content across. Her passionate story-telling approach to career coaching is a unique, effective, and infectious way to share information. She clearly works hard to stay current on needs and trends in the HR industry. The combination of Jennifer’s experience, knowledge, and spirit makes her a valuable resource. I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone who is looking to grow or pivot in their career.

Jenn is very passionate about teaching and learning. Her enthusiasm for teaching is evident in the classroom and reflected in her student evaluations. Students enjoy and value Jenn’s approach in the classroom. She uses humour and much interaction to engage her participants. She always has many activities planned along with a wealth of information she provides in student guides and handouts. Jenn is organized, flexible and excellent to work with as a faculty member. She is always smiling, is positive and professional in all her dealings with clients, students, and college staff. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Jenn in the past and look forward to future projects. She is kind and genuine and brings positive energy in the room.
